- Pick an atom form 3-10 on periodic table/
- Find out how many protons, neutrons + Electrons it has.
- Equipment: I piece of card.
30 cm strings
blue tac
coloured beads for protons + neutrons.
- Method: Sticks P+N beads to blue tac
Cut out strings form paper
Draw electrons onto rings
Create a label
Tape strings to back of paper so it can hang.
-Discussion-
- What's the atomic+mass number.
- Number of P,E,+N.
- How does it form an ion.
- The atomic number is 6 and the mass number is 12 .
- The Number of protons is 6, number of electrons is 6 and 6 Neutrons.
- the first shell have 2 electrons and the second shell have 4 electrons we can lost the sound shell and will have 4+.
